Why We Built This Site
Thurston County has no single criminal-record counter or search that answers every question. County Court keeps misdemeanors and felony preliminary matters, while District Court maintains felony trial files. The sheriff confirms local bookings and holds. The Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division supplies the statewide fingerprint-supported RAP product. The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services and Nebraska Sex Offender Registry each serve narrower purposes. Because Omaha and Winnebago tribal matters may remain with separate sovereign custodians, a no-result in a Nebraska portal may not end the search. This site organizes those channels, their limits, and verified contact points in one reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Record routes: how criminal court case files move between Thurston County Court and District Court
- Official check instructions: how Nebraska State Patrol public and subject-authorized RAP reports differ
- Agency details: current court and sheriff contacts in Pender, plus statewide custody and registry tools
- Record-relief context: Nebraska set-aside, restricted-dissemination, sealing, and narrow expungement rules
What We Cannot Do
Thurston County Criminal History is a privately operated reference site. It is not connected with a Nebraska court, the Thurston County Sheriff, a tribal government, or any state or federal agency. Those boundaries mean:
- We do not run official background checks or retrieve a person's criminal record
- We cannot submit set-aside petitions or public-record requests for a visitor
- We cannot issue a certified judgment, RAP sheet, booking file, or registry record
- We do not offer legal advice about a charge, warrant, sentence, or record remedy
- We cannot promise that a government office has not changed a fee, address, phone, or procedure
An official copy must come from the office that created or maintains it, such as the sheriff, court clerk, Nebraska State Patrol, or other sovereign custodian.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. They operate their own products, decide what to charge, and control the results they return. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this free reference resource. Thurston County Criminal History does not control a partner's prices, coverage, matching, retention, or output.
